My new virtual office space šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ’»

My workspace is where I spend the majority of my time. In Vancouver, my studio was my sanctuary. I spent time there even when I was not working with clients. Puttering around, dreaming, making art, reading books, napping. I put my whole heart and soul into creating a space that inspiredĀ creativity and allowed you to make a mess and let go of perfection. The studio was infused with warmth, beauty, cosiness and a touch of magic. I firmly believe that the space you are in matters. The healing and therapeutic process can be vulnerable and you deserveĀ a space that feels like a gift, where there is room for all forms of expression.Ā Ā

When I moved to Ontario, I was so sad to leave my studio behind. Following your heart isn’t always so simple. I lovedĀ working out of Vancouver and I also deeply missed my family in Ontario. The decision to move home included changing the entire format of my therapy practice. I went from working almost 100% in-person to 100% virtual. I knew that I needed an office space that feeds my creative spirit and creates a beautiful backdrop for online sessions. I want clients to join online sessions and (as much as possible) experience the warmth, brightness and inspiration that they felt in my Vancouver studio.

The soothing green walls, focus on natural objects and images, fluid artwork and the hugeĀ monstera plant inspire so much joy. Want a full tour of the space? Check it out on Instagram @intrinsic.therapy.

I am so glad that I now have a dedicated office space that holds me as I morph and grow as a therapist.

This evolution of my practice has brought me through all whole realm of emotions: sadness, fear, joy, rage, disappointment, grief, excitement, peacefulness. I am starting all over. And all I know is that I am still here. I am still capable. I am still caring and empathetic and deeply curious. I am still drawn to wonder and beauty and hope and creativity. These core things have not changed.

And I am ready to be a witness to stories and expression again. Are you looking for a therapist to help you manage stress, anxiety and burnout? Do you want to add more whimsy and creativity into your day-to-day life? I’m currently accepting new clients for virtual 1:1 art therapy and group art therapy! I hope you can join me here soon šŸŽØšŸš
